Help Keep Our Projects of Survival Alive

As we head into the holiday season, so many of us are expected to “celebrate” and “be thankful” while living in a system that’s denying us our most basic human needs. It’s hard to feel joy when families are facing cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, and the very programs meant to keep us alive. These cuts are an assault not simply on our survival, but our psyches.

That is why organizing through our monthly projects of survival food distribution is so important. While partially meeting our need for fresh food, we refuse to accept that anyone should be subjected to hunger in the richest country in the world. By creating a community of care, we break our isolation and turn our pain into organized power.

Because of the Trump administration's cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, and vital food programs, the MD Food Bank anticipates the need growing by 2.5 times. This means that food pantries will now be charged $500 per food drop.

We must raise $20,000 to keep this organizing alive. Donate here to sustain our survival projects.

This past week, we carried out our monthly survival projects in Baltimore, Central and Western Maryland. Below are photos and videos from our three regional projects of survival.
