This wasn't an accident. This was a budget line.

$3 million cut from food programs. $1.4 million from emergency feeding. SNAP changes hit 22.3 million families. 400,000 Maryland students lost nutrition programs overnight.

Poverty is a top four cause of death in this country. Over a million Marylanders can't meet basic needs.

We know what that looks like. The paycheck that doesn't stretch. The meal we skip. The prescription that waits. We didn't fail. The system worked as intended.
